Anna Vissi celebrated her 50-year career milestone in the summer of 2023 in cooperation with the Charalambides Christis group of companies. Silver Spotlight, in cooperation with the children of Potenzia Del’ Arte created a unique moment at the press conference and subsequently Anna Vissi’s big free concert of 70,000 people in Europe Square, Larnaca Cyprus
Silver Spotlight was commissioned by the European Commission to create and produce a song for the 20th anniversary of Cyprus entering the European Union. A big thanks to Potenzia Del’ Arte for the amazing talent and SEMIO for creating the video.
Silver Spotlight was commissioned for a second time by the Cyprus Association of Advertisers to create and produce a custom made opening for their annual award ceremony. Supervision and recordings, Alex Panayi, choreography by Charis Savva.
Silver Spotlight was commissioned to create and produce a custom made flash mob based on Cypriot folklore for the European University of Cyprus Medical School, opening their annual conference at the presidential Palace in Nicosia, Cyprus, November of 2022. Shoot is a gripping 15 minute musical film composed and directed by Alex Panayi and conceived and written by Stavros Stavrou that was commissioned by the European Theatre digital platform and represented Cyprus in this programme. Starring Andreas Papamichalopoulos and Chrissie Andreou.
Silver Spotlight is proud to be a co-producer in this 6 minute digital musical monologue by Alex Panayi and Stavros Stavrou featuring the talents of Chrissie Andreou (Constantina), Andreas Giavroutas (camera editing). Directed by Alex Panayi. The film was featured in August 2021 at the famed O. Festival in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and was part of the Cyprus National Theatre “Musical Stories” initiative.

In our first French language project we tried to embody the essence of Christmas by creating a one of a kind virtual greeting card for AMOPA, in lieu of their annual live event that was impossible to happen this year due to National Covid-19 restrictions. The very talented children of Potenzia Del Arte were musically directed by Alex Panayi, choreographed by Nikolina Frangoullidou and filmed by the great SEMIO team led by Alexia Makrides Neocleous.
Katerina Christofidou led the whole project for Silver Spotlight.

Silver Spotlight took on the difficult challenge of creating an entertaining solution for the needs of our client to promote safe betting among all ages in Cyprus, in the middle of the Covid-19 Pandemic. We created a series of choreographed surprise theatrical events in three of the most important malls of Cyprus, in cooperation with the ministry of health, keeping our activities strictly within hygiene guidelines. T
he flashmob was conceived baby Alex Panayi and Katerina Christofidou, directed by Alex Panayi and choreographed by Romina Costea. It was performed by a hand picked team of top dance and theatre professionals.
In the midst of the corona virus crisis and quarantine, what better to lift everyone’s tattered spirits than the unified voices of 29 talented children? Silver Spotlight’s idea was to get each child, from their own isolation in their home, to send his or her video of the song “Mazi Mporoume Kalytera/Together We Can Do Better” from the musical “Gourouniasmata II – Adventure in the Forest” . With the help of Nicolas Ntimas Music Productions and Potenzia Del Arte a beautiful video was made that quickly went viral, receiving mentions from various TV entertainment, infotainment programs and Newscasts, as well as being shared by the President of the Republic of Cyprus on Greek Orthodox Easter Sunday as a message of hope and unity.

February 2020 – Olympic Megaron, Nicosia Cyprus
Charalambides Christis wanted an unforgettable presentation of their advertising campaign for 2020 based on their sponsorship of the Cyprus track team for the Tokyo Olympics. Silver Spotlight conceived and created the artistic part, resulting in an emotional and impactful ceremony.

October 2019 – Presidential Palace
The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs created these awards to reward excellence in the diplomatic field in Cyprus. Silver Spotlight created the entertainment for the evening with songs and melodies from Cypriot tradition. The world renowned pianist and conductor Yianni Hadjiloizou accompanied singers Aliki Chrysochou, Alex Panayi, Katerina Christofidou and the very talented children of the Potenzia Del Arte Academy of Talents.

The idea here was to get as many staff members as possible, coach them in a favourite Christmas Carol and record and film them singing a “We Are The World”’esque version of “jingle Bells” chock-full of humour, friendship and holiday spirit. The Hellenic Bank CEOs also joined in this holiday extravaganza.
Cypriot-Lebanese pianist Rami Sarieddine and American bass Andrew Munn performed pieces by H. Purcell, F. Schubert, A. Skordis, J. Ibert, S. Barber and C. Porter in this very beautiful classical recital, stressing Silver Spotlight’s versatility in organising cultural events of every kind.

April 2019 – Hilton Park, Nicosia
Finding a balance between refined humour and showmanship, Silver Spotlight created this surprise event with spectators such as the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr Anastasiades, the chairwoman of CYSEC, Demetra Kalogerou, and the chair of ESMA, Steven Maijoor. The result was a resounding success.

December 2018 – Jamie’s Italian, Nicosia
When we were asked to create something for Jamie’s Italian Restaurant in Nicosia, we immediately thought what best to represent Italian culture than the beauty of Italian opera? So we decided to stage a mini opera, full of intrigue, misunderstandings, and of course… amore! Alex Panayi led this stellar cast of professional opera singers, in what was to be a surprising and unforgettable evening.

What if Cinderella had messenger on her phone? What if Little Red Riding-Hood had a “wolf alert” on her GPS? And what if Snow White’s Evil Stepmother had a tablet with beautiful filters instead of a magic mirror on the wall? Cyta prides itself of innovative and impactful campaigns for their Christmas video greeting cards. Silver Spotlight was asked to create and execute the concept for their 2018 edition. We proceeded to compose a beautiful song (music by Alex Panayi and lyrics by Stavros Stavrou) especially for the occasion, bringing our favourite fairy tale heroes to life. In cooperation with Cube Productions.

Silver Spotlight was invited to create something unforgettable for the special 10 year edition of the most important business awards in Cyprus. The pressure was on, with attendees consisting of the whole political and business leadership on the island, including the President of the Republic of Cyprus. Our “under cover” characters sprang to life surprising everyone at the tables, breaking into prose, song and dance, in a hilarious mini musical especially created for the client.

August 2017 – Limassol Old Port
Silver Spotlight conceived and executed this his hugely successful surprise event, which quickly went viral. We staged an “improvised” musical using Cypriot traditional melodies using a cast of 20 singer/actor/dancers, led by director Marios Kakoullis and musical director Alex Panayi.

The client had a vision: To create an educational song about the cycle of water, to be included in the curriculum of all the elementary schools of Cyprus. Silver Spotlight had the solution: a captivating pop song (Music by Alex Panayi and Lyrics by Stavros Stavrou) performed by elementary school students from Potenzia Del Arte Academy of Talents.

As a continuation of the excellent cooperation with Piraeus Bank on the “Gourouniasmata” Musical Trilogy, Silver Spotlight created two special video clips with winners of a Piraeus Bank competition for young depositors. The young children were filmed dancing and singing with their favourite characters created by Silver Spotlight. In cooperation with SEMIO.

Both our CEOs, Alex Panayi and Katerina Christofidou have been closely involved in helping raise funds for the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING) in this yearly TV charity event presented on SIGMA TV.

The creative team of Silver Spotlight together with well known performers created a mini musical to convey the importance of recycling, creating many colourful characters that were later to become the inspiration for the smash hit musical “T.R.A.S.H. Escape from Garbagetown” in 2018.
